The project Sagitta (which in Latin means arrow) is located in a small fishing village that boasts one of the most unspoiled beaches of the Costa de la Luz, ‘La Flecha’ (arrow in English). This unique sandy strip, more than 12 km long, runs parallel to the seashore since the 18th century, when it was formed as a coastal arrow, separating the waters of the River Piedras from the Atlantic Ocean.

As the tides rise, La Flecha expands an average of 30 metres a year, creating natural lagoons that today form the so-called ‘Paraje Natural Marismas del Río Piedras y Flecha de El Rompido’.

Plans call for the construction of nearly a thousand homes, including a nine-hole golf course, a ‘senior living’ project, as well as a hotel, shopping centre, bars and restaurants, occupying an area of 1.3 million square metres.
